Our Crafty Things hatched in 2013 over a cup of coffee and a wedge of cake. We built a website, we took to social media all with one thing in mind…helping independent makers and small businesses of British handmade crafts reach a bigger audience.
At the moment our website is being reviewed as the marketplace changes and we see what will best help serve the talented makers we have been supporting. So rather than disappear completely we decided to set up this blog as a way to keep doing what we do.
There are so many websites offering makers a place to sell – we don’t need to be another one. What we can do is showcase makers and direct customers to their existing online shops, or Facebook page or Twitter account, craft fair – wherever they are selling.
Using our site and our established social media accounts we are here helping the ‘small businesses’ shout BIG and helping customers find you!
This new site is a work in progress as we test and trial what works best. The original Our Crafty Things website was receiving in excess of 1200 unique visitors every month, and whilst this is a new and refreshed approach we have every confidence that people will like it just as much!
